Just yesterday, I sinned. I made one last, small seed order, this time from Horizon Herbs in Oregon, the place I got the white sage seed from last year. Growing it was a failure, but I think on my part, not theirs. One more try, this time inside! In the warm house, in a sunny window, in cactus soil, in a big, big pot which I have yet to discover. Also, there will be German winter thyme growing at the front of the border where I planted the (spreading) orange mint. There will be a blue morning glory vine growing the length of the narrow strip along the north side of the house. That'll make me get creative with trellis-making or some other kind of support. Lastly, there will be Principe Borghese tomatoes, heirlooms for drying. Where will I put all of these tomatoes? I most definitely will be expanding beyond my little side garden into the rest of the yard this year, one shovelful at a time.
But for now, I'll just go play in the cool-for-now sunshine and pack a bag for Seattle.
